Deborah Pratt is a music specialist with a Master of Arts degree in Music Education from the University of Iowa. She has been teaching for over 20 years with experience in preK-12 music, elementary classroom, and private piano and voice lessons. She became a licensed Kindermusik® teacher in 1996. She takes a sincere interest in each student and is committed to making music fun and successful for beginners of all ages.

A classically trained soprano, Deb has performed as soloist with the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Chorus and Orchestra, the University of Wisconsin - Madison Choral Union, and the University of Iowa Women's Chorale. She also has over 19 years experience as a church pianist. Deb belongs to the Music Teachers National Association, the Kindermusik Educators Association, and the International Music Products Association.

Originally from Wisconsin, Deb moved to Iowa in 1981 where she was a music and elementary teacher. In 1986 she opened a private music studio offering piano and voice lessons, and in 1996 founded "Kindermusik of Iowa City". After moving to Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1999, she created Music4Kids, a music store and teaching studio for beginners of all ages.

Deb and her husband, Jim, have three grown daughters. Jim owns and operates his own business, 2-Life Health Products, specializing in health related appliances and food supplements.
